A little help here?
It’s not all rose petals and reenactments of Benetton ads over in the Jolie-Pitt household. According to Star magazine, Angelina Jolie is so bummed out after giving birth to twins this summer that Brad Pitt has sent her to therapy. Moody? Depressed? Maybe moving to Berlin wasn’t such a good idea after all.

Also, girlfriend won’t eat. “She still thinks she’s fat,” a highly placed source says. “She barely touches the food that is brought to her.” Brought to her? Is Angelina being kept somewhere? No wonder she’s feeling blue.

You know what? This source has such detailed information, we can only assume it’s Zahara doing the dishing. Sometimes kids lash out when they feel neglected after the arrival of new siblings. And sometimes that lashing out takes the form of telling the tabloids your mom is an anorexic nutter.

Return of the koosh
NBC has announced the impending arrival of“Rosie’s Variety Show,” an hour-long live  special airing the night before Thanksgiving. Not Rosie Perez, because that would be awesome. No, this destined-to-be-a-train-wreck will be helmed by your seventh favorite “View” hostess of all time, Rosie O’Donnell

The show will feature a mix of comedy, music and talk. You know, a variety. And yet it will still “reinvent the idea of what a variety show is for 2008,” says an NBC exec. Yes, just in time for 2009.

And, fair warning. If Rosie’s venture does well, NBC will order more episodes, possibly making it a regular part of the schedule. So, you know, be sure to find something else to do that night.

G'bye, mates
In other TV news, Australians have done the only sensible thing they could do with the threat of a global economic meltdown looming: They’ve canceled the new “90210.”

Yes, after just four episodes, the Australian viewing public gave a hearty “No thanks” to the half-baked Generation X nostalgia fest and Jenny Garth career revival. Now if only we could follow their lead. True, there aren’t that many new shows this year, but do we have to keep this one? Really?
