She's checking in
It’s probably a bad sign for a sitcom to start resorting to stunt casting before the first episode has even aired. But such is the case for “Do Not Disturb,” a new Fox comedy starring Jerry O’Connell and Niecy Nash about the staff of a luxury hotel in New York.

As announced on her very own Web site, Audrina Patridge, one of the “stars” of MTV’s “The Hills,” will be stopping by for an episode: “I will be playing a guest checking into the hotel,” the spell-checker’s nightmare wrote. We’re pretty sure that when the producers pitched the whole hotel concept as being great for pulling in big-name guest stars, they didn’t say, “And we can get that girl from ‘The Hills!’ No, the other one. No, the other other one.”

Of course, they probably know it’s not going to last long anyway, since it’s a sitcom about the staff of a hotel, which has worked exactly three times: “Fawlty Towers,” “Newhart” and the “Golden Girls” spin-off “The Golden Palace” that Bea Arthur was too good for. As far as a show about folks working at a New York hotel, Whoopie Goldberg would tell you the odds of avoiding cancellation are against you. Just saying.

What's Spanish for 'baby bump'?
And now, to break the hearts of many women and gay men: You can give up on your dreams of having Gael Garcia Bernal’s baby now. Somebody else beat you to it. The “Motorcycle Diaries” star has announced that he is having a child with his girlfriend, Argentinean actress Dolores Fonzi. While this is indeed a sad day for those who get all tingly at the sight of the diminutive Mexican star, we must look on the bright side. At least he’s procreating.

And just as a crushing reminder of who’s more famous in their longtime friendship, Bernal’s “Y Tu Mamá También” co-star Diego Luna’s first child was actually born Tuesday, but no one noticed until Bernal made his baby announcement. That’s harsh, hermano.

Not gonna do it
Corey Feldman has denied rumors that he will star in Quentin Tarantino’s World War II-set “Inglorious Bastards.” When word spread that he would be joining a cast led by Brad Pitt, Feldman quickly got in touch with the curiously named MovieHole.net to set the record straight. Because when you’re riding high on “The Two Coreys” fame, the last thing you want is people thinking you’d slum it by working with someone like Brad Pitt.
