Don't touch the hair!
London critics can be tough. Beloved animatronic Zac Efron was leaving a performance of the new West End play “Rain Man” Wednesday with “girlfriend” Vanessa Hudgens when he was accosted by a laptop-carrying crazy person. According to the Mirror, the stalker lunged at the “couple” and tried to touch Zac’s hair. Scrambling to shield his prized synthetic asset, Efron fell to the ground as bodyguards jumped in and subdued the follicular fetishist. No word on the condition of the laptop or the “girlfriend.”

We would like to take this opportunity to point out that there is a stage version of “Rain Man” in London. But it’s not a musical, so we have to give the British credit for showing remarkable restraint this time.

What he does is secret
Ricky Gervais recently bought a nice little place in New York to call home on his many visits to the city with girlfriend Jane Fallon. And what goes just splendidly with a little Manhattan pied-à-terre? Apparently a home gym. And not one of those silly Bowflex things, either. Ricky don’t do infomercials.

Gervais, who’s working hard to keep up his “I’m ashamed of my fortune because I come from humble roots” image, admits the purchase was extravagant but necessary, since it’ll help keep the paparazzi and fat jokes at bay: “We built a gym in the basement so I never have to exercise in public,” Gervais told the Sun.

Wait, they have a basement? You’ve got to be kidding. In Manhattan? Sheesh, Rick, why didn’t you just buy the nearest Equinox and call it a day?

Alright, Mr. Moneybags, time to try and work some of that humility magic: “I’ll probably always feel guilty about spending money because I know I earn too much,” Gervais said. “My favorite thing in the world is to come home, have a swim, put my pajamas on and open a bottle of wine.”
Wait, his place has a pool, too? Un-friggin-believable.

While folks across the gossipsphere debate whether or not Jamie Lynn Spears is knocked up again, one thing is clear: The young mother values education. Jamie Lynn says she wants to pursue a college education. “I want to get my business degree,” the 17-year-old told OK! “I could take online courses right now, but with Maddie being so young, it’s hard to sit down and focus.” Though we’re sure if she asks nicely, the University of Phoenix will just give her an honorary doctorate.

Jamie says she’ll start taking college classes once her daughter is old enough to be left with someone else. But if Britney is any indication, that family usually waits for a judge to decide when it’s time for someone else to take care of the children. Zing!
